EDITORIAL

BY MATTEO VOLPE, ELCA PRESIDENT

Dear Members,

On January 27th the ELCA Board has endorsed the new strategy 2012 for the European Lift Components Association.

We put in place a new approach for the technical work, involving technical expertise in house in ISO and CEN Committees; we elected a new Board and launched a number of initiatives to straighten the dialogue with our Membership and get closer to stakeholders in our value chain also outside the European borders.

During the next months, ELCA plans to launch a survey among our membership to gather updated data on the structure and interest of the ELCA Members, to be used as support data to better represent the interest of Small and Medium sized enterprises. I am also proud to announce that the Russian Association for Lifts has formally become Associated Member of ELCA as from 1st February 2012.
